Max Miles Reward Tiers & Fees

Max Miles Tiers, Promo Codes & Pricing FAQs

Section 1: Choosing Your Tier & How It Works

What is a Max Miles reward tier?

A Max Miles reward tier determines how many Max Miles you can earn per dollar on an eligible CardUp PayNow payment and the corresponding CardUp processing fee.

When setting up your payment, you can choose between Standard or Accelerated, depending on your preferred earn rate. The higher the reward tier, the more Max Miles you earn and the corresponding processing fee will differ.

Note: Promo codes are not applied automatically. You must manually enter STANDARD125 or FAST585 during payment setup to receive promotional pricing. Tier details, promotional fees, and terms may be updated periodically in accordance with the promotion.

How are my Max Miles calculated?

Max Miles are calculated based strictly on your total payment amount (CardUp fees are not eligible for Max Miles rewards).

Example:

  • If you make a $1,000 mortgage payment with a $16.50* CardUp fee, you will earn Max Miles on the $1,000 principal payment only.

  • Earns:$1,000 × 0.7 = 700 Max Miles

  • * Based on Standard Max Miles tier (0.7 Max Miles per $1)

What is the difference between the Promo Fee and Prevailing Fee?

  • Promo Fee: A discounted processing fee (1.25% or 5.85%) applied when

    • an eligible promo code is successfully applied and

    • you have remaining promotional entitlement.

  • Prevailing Fee: The standard processing fee (1.65% or 7.65%) applied when

    • no promo code is entered,

    • promotion requirements aren't met,

    • or your 10,000 promotional entitlement has been fully utilised.

Section 2: Applying Promo Codes at Checkout

Do I need to apply a promo code to enjoy the Promo Fee?

Yes. You must apply the applicable promo code during payment setup to enjoy the Promo Fee for your selected Max Miles reward tier.

If you do not apply the applicable promo code, you can still earn Max Miles on an eligible payment, but the Prevailing Fee for your selected tier will apply.

How do I know which fee will apply to my payment?

You don't need to manually calculate which fee applies. During payment setup, CardUp will display the applicable:

  • Max Miles reward tier;

  • Processing fee;

  • Expected Max Miles; and

  • Promo Fee and/or Prevailing Fee breakdown, where applicable.

Please review the pricing and reward details displayed before confirming your payment.

Can I apply a promo code after submitting my payment? What happens if forget to apply the promo code?

No. Promotional pricing is determined during payment setup. Promo codes must be successfully applied before confirming your transaction.

If you complete a payment without applying the promo code, the Prevailing Fee will apply. You will still earn Max Miles on the payment, but those miles will NOT count towards or reduce your 10,000 promotional entitlement.

What happens if I select Accelerated Tier (4 Max Miles) but enter the Standard promo code (STANDARD125)?

The promo code must match your selected tier. STANDARD125 only works for the Standard Tier, and FAST585 only works for the Accelerated Tier.

If there is a mismatch, the checkout system will show an error prompting you to enter the correct promo code.

Why isn't my Max Miles promo code working?

Please check that:

  • Your selected reward tier matches the promo code (STANDARD125 for Standard or FAST585 for Accelerated).

  • Your payment meets the Max Miles eligibility requirements.

  • You have remaining promotional entitlement.

If the promo code still cannot be applied, please contact CardUp Support Team for assistance.

Can I combine STANDARD125 or FAST585 with other CardUp promo codes?

No. Stacking is not permitted. You may only apply one promo code per payment setup. You cannot combine Max Miles tier codes with other general CardUp discount codes or referral promotions on the same transaction.

Section 3: Understanding Your 10,000 Max Miles Promotional Entitlement

What does the 10,000 Max Miles promotional entitlement mean?

The 10,000 Max Miles promotional entitlement determines how many eligible Max Miles can enjoy the Promo Fee. It is not a limit on the total number of Max Miles you can earn.

Only Max Miles earned from qualifying payments where the applicable promo code is successfully applied will reduce your promotional entitlement.

Is the 10,000 Max Miles promotional entitlement shared between Standard and Accelerated reward tiers?

Yes. The 10,000 Max Miles promotional entitlement is shared across both tiers.

How is my 10,000 Max Miles promotional entitlement determined?

Your available promotional entitlement is determined by both

  • your CardUp account and

  • the HeyMax email address confirmed during payment setup.

CardUp checks the remaining promotional entitlement associated with both. If the two have different remaining balances, the lower remaining balance will apply.

Key rule: Your available promotional entitlement is always based on the lower remaining balance between your CardUp account and confirmed HeyMax email.

Example:

  • Your CardUp account has 6,000 promotional Max Miles remaining, while the HeyMax email you confirm has 4,000 promotional Max Miles remaining

  • Your available promotional entitlement is therefore 4,000 Max Miles.

  • If either identifier has already fully utilised its promotional entitlement, the Prevailing Fee will apply, even if the other identifier still has promotional entitlement remaining.

Can I reset my promotional entitlement by using another CardUp account or HeyMax email?

No. Utilizing a different CardUp account, updating your confirmed HeyMax email, or trying various account pairings does not grant a new 10,000 Max Miles promotional entitlement.

For each eligible transaction under the promotion, CardUp evaluates the remaining promotional balance linked to both identifiers:

CardUp Account + HeyMax Email → The lower of the two remaining balances will be applied

This means:

What you change

Does your promo entitlement automatically reset?

Use a different HeyMax email

No

Use another CardUp account

No

Use the same HeyMax email with another CardUp account

No

Use different CardUp account and HeyMax emails

No

The available promotional entitlement will continue to be determined based on the remaining entitlement associated with the two identifiers used for that payment.

Does my 10,000 promotional Max Miles entitlement expire?

Yes. Promotional pricing codes (STANDARD125 and FAST585) and entitlement usage are valid for eligible payments scheduled by 6:00 PM (SGT) on 31 December 2026, with a payment due date on or before 4 January 2027. Any unused promotional entitlement will expire after the promotion period.

Section 4: Partial Entitlement, Overages & Balance Checks

What happens if my payment exceeds my remaining promo entitlement?

If a payment earns more Max Miles than your remaining promotional balance, CardUp automatically splits the processing fee on that single transaction:

  • Miles within remaining entitlement: Charged at the Promo Fee (1.25% or 5.85%)

  • Miles exceeding remaining entitlement: Charged at the Prevailing Fee (1.65% or 7.65%)

Example: If you have 500 promotional Max Miles remaining and make a payment that earns 1,200 Max Miles:

Portion of Payment

Pricing

  • First 500 Max Miles (within remaining entitlement)

  • Promo Fee (1.25% or 5.85%)

  • Remaining 700 Max Miles (exceeding entitlement)

  • Prevailing Fee (1.65% or 7.65%)

Note: The exact fee breakdown and split pricing will be displayed on screen before you confirm your payment.

Can I check my remaining promotional balance?

While there is currently no standalone dashboard to view your remaining promotional entitlement, we’re working on making this feature available in the future.

In the meantime, an automated pop-up will display your remaining promotional Max Miles when you enter the promo code during payment setup.

CardUp will also automatically calculate and display your selected tier, expected Max Miles, and exact fee breakdown (including any split pricing) before you confirm your payment. You may also contact the CardUp Support team for assistance.
