Here are some questions you may have if you are receiving a CardUp invite from a friend:


What are CardUp credits?

CardUp credits refer to a discount off the CardUp fee.

  • For personal users:

    • You will enjoy a discounted CardUp fee of 1.79% on your first payment, for amounts up to S$5,000.

    • For any payment amount exceeding S$5,000, the prevailing fees apply to the excess amount (2.6% for domestic cards and 3.3% for international cards).

  • For business users:

    • You will enjoy a discounted CardUp fee of 1.79% on your first payment, for amounts up to S$10,000.

    • For any payment amount exceeding S$10,000, the prevailing fees apply to the excess amount (2.6% for domestic and 3.3% for international).

  • Example: Let's say you are a Personal user scheduling a S$6,000 payment using a domestic card:

    • Discounted Tier (First S$5,000): 1.79% fee applies.

    • Excess Amount (Remaining S$1,000): 2.6% fee applies for Singapore-issued cards, and 3.3% fee applies for Non-Singapore issued cards

    • Please note that any unused portion of the discounted fee limit cannot be refunded or carried over to future payments.


Where do I enter my promo code?

When scheduling your payment, you will see an option to enter a promo code after the 'Payment reference' field.


Can I use more than one invite promo code on a single payment?

  • No, only one Invite Promo code can be used per payment, and the code can only be used once.

  • This allows you to redeem the discounted 1.79% fee on your first payment (up to S$5,000 for personal users or S$10,000 for business users).



Why am I unable to use the invite promo code I received?

There could be a number of reasons for this:

  • You are an existing user who has made a previous payment

  • The promo code has been fully redeemed

  • You have used this promo code before

  • The credit card you are trying to use has been used on CardUp with an invite promo code before

  • If you're using an invite promo code as a business user, someone else from your company could have already used an invite promo code.

Do I need to inform my friend (referrer) when I’ve used his/her invite promo code?

It is optional to inform your referrer - we will notify them when you use their code.


When you’ve successfully used their Invite Promo Code (payment status on your dashboard shows “Complete”), your friend will receive an email with their own Referral Success Promo Code to enjoy their 1.79% discounted fee.


Your referrer can also go to the “Refer & Save” section in their Account Details to track their referrals.



Can I carry over any unused portion of the CardUp credit to my next payment?

No, unfortunately, any unused portion of the CardUp credit will not be refunded or carried over to the next payment.

Can more than one person from my company use an invite promo code on his/her first payment?

No, only one user per company is able to use an invite promo code on his/her first payment under the company.
