🆕 What’s new?
You can now manage multiple companies from a single CardUp login. Previously, if you managed more than one business entity, you had to:
Create separate accounts using different emails
Log in and out to access each company
Re-invite the same team members for each business
With this update:
Add, manage, and switch between multiple companies under one login
Invite users once and assign them to multiple companies
Enjoy a simpler, faster, and more organized way to operate across businesses
This is especially valuable for business owners, finance teams, and administrators overseeing multiple legal entities or branches.
👤 Who can use this feature?
This feature is available to:
Business users who have completed their KYC (Know Your Customer) profile
Companies that have completed KYB (Know Your Business) profile
Businesses enrolled in our Beta Release, with the feature enabled by our team
Examples of who will benefit:
Founders and CFOs managing holding and operating companies
Finance teams working across group entities or regional outlets
Admins responsible for managing staff and operations across multiple companies
🏢 How can I add a new company to my account?
If you're an Admin and your current company is fully verified:
Log in to CardUp
Click the Company Name dropdown at the top left of your dashboard
Select “Add New Company”
Choose your preferred onboarding method:
Corppass (auto-fill from government registry)
Manual entry
Submit required company info and documents
Complete KYB verification for the new entity
Once done, you’ll see:
✅ “Your new company is added successfully. Please use the company name dropdown to switch to the new company.”
You can now access it anytime from the dropdown menu.
🔄 How do I switch between companies?
After linking more than one company:
Click the Company Name dropdown on the top-left
Select the company you want to switch to
You’ll be instantly switched to that company’s dashboard
A message will confirm:
✅ “Your account is successfully switched to [Company Name].”
🔔 Important Note
All data you see — including payments, collections, recipients, and settings — will reflect only the company you are currently switched into.
Any actions you take (e.g., creating a payment, adding a payee, updating company settings or creating collect requests) will apply exclusively to the selected company.
✅To avoid mistakes, always double-check that you're working in the correct company by confirming the company name in the top-left dropdown before proceeding.
👥 How do I invite users to multiple companies?
You can now invite the same user to one or more companies from a single interface.
To invite a new user:
Go to Manage Members
Click Invite Member
Enter their email, select a role (e.g., Admin, Manager)
If you're managing multiple companies, you'll see a checkbox list to add them to other companies
Click Send Invite
To add an existing user to more companies:
Go to Manage Members
Find the user, click “Edit Member”
Select additional companies under the ‘Select companies’ section
Click Send Invite
You’ll get a confirmation message once invites are sent successfully.
📩 I received multiple invites. What should I do?
It depends on whether you're new to CardUp or already have an account on Cardup:
User Type | No. of Companies Invited | No. of Emails Sent | What Happens When |
New User | 1 | 1 |
|
New User | More than 1 | 1 |
|
Existing User | 1 | 1 |
|
Existing User | More than 1 | Multiple (one per company) |
|
After setup, you can easily switch between your companies via the dropdown.
🧹 Can I remove a user from just one or selected companies ?
Yes. If someone no longer needs access to a specific company or companies but still needs access to others:
Go to Manage Members in that company
Click Edit next to the user
In the Linked Companies section, uncheck the company you want to remove them from
Click Save
This won’t affect the user’s access to other companies they’re part of. But note that this will cancel the payments setup by the user from the unlinked companies.
❌ Can I delete a user from all companies?
Yes, if the user should no longer have access to any of your business entities:
Go to Manage Members
Click Delete Member next to their name
A message will confirm:
⚠️ “This will remove the user from all linked companies .”
Once confirmed, the user loses access to all companies on your CardUp account.
⚠️ I don’t see the option to switch companies. What should I check?
Here’s a quick checklist:
You’re only linked to one company (add more to activate the switcher)
Your profile and company verification (KYC/KYB) are incomplete
Your company hasn’t had the multi-company feature enabled yet (beta feature)
Still unsure? Reach out to [email protected] and we’ll help you get set up.
📊 Will data from one company show up in another?
No. Each company’s data is completely isolated and securely managed:
Payments, payees, team members, and reports are specific to each company
You only see information for the company you're currently working in
Transactional emails (e.g., payment receipts) now include the company name clearly for your reference
This ensures clean record-keeping and avoids confusion across entities.
🔄 I have multiple accounts with different logins. Can I merge them?
Yes — we can help you consolidate all your companies into one login. If you currently manage multiple companies using different email logins:
Email [email protected]
We’ll verify your ownership and assist with linking them to one master login
Once merged, you'll be able to switch between companies with one click
This saves time and helps keep your operations more streamlined.
