How to Create Multiple Payment Requests (Bulk Upload)

On CardUp, you can create multiple Payment Requests at one go using the bulk upload feature.

Step 1: Navigate to Payment Requests

  • Log in to your CardUp account and go to:

  • Collect > Payment Requests


Step 2: Start a Bulk Upload

  • Click + Create Request and select: + Multiple Requests

Step 3: Download the Bulk Upload Template

  • Click Download Template to get the latest file.

  • It is recommended to download a fresh template each time, as the file may be updated when improvements are made to the feature.


Step 4: Fill in the Template

  • Open the file and complete all required fields.

  • Important rules:

  1. All columns are compulsory. Missing fields will cause that entry to fail.

  2. Do not add, remove, or rename any columns. This will result in file rejection.

  3. Maximum 100 entries per upload file.

  4. Field guidelines:

    • Credit Card Fee Option / PayNow Fee Option
      Enter:

      • merchant → you pay the fee

      • customer → your customer pays the fee

    • Invoice No.
      Use your invoice number or any internal customer reference.

    • Payment Reference
      Used for reconciliation. Can be the same as Invoice No.

Step 5: Upload the File

  • Once completed, click Browse Computer

  • Upload the file and click Continue


Step 6: Review and Confirm

  • Check the details shown on screen, then click Continue to proceed.

Step 7: Processing of Requests

  • After upload, CardUp will process your file automatically.

  • Payment Requests will be created and emailed to your customers.

Step 8: Email Notification

  • Once processing is complete, you will receive an email confirming number of Payment Requests successfully created and sent

Step 9: Download Upload Report (If Needed)

  • You can download a bulk upload report to:

    • View successful entries

    • Identify entries that failed and the reason for failure
