How do you pay stamp duty on CardUp?

Here is how you can get started:

Step 1 - Account Sign Up/Login

Sign up for a free account (as a personal user) and log in.

Step 2 - Create Payment
Once you're login, click on "Create Payment"

Step 3: Select Payment Category

Schedule a payment by selecting "Taxes" as the payment category.

Step 4: Select Stamp Duty

Click on the Stamp Duty toggle to make your payment.

Step 5 - Fill in your Payment details

Then, you will be directed to "Tell us more about your payment" where you need to fill in as follows:-

  • Payment amount

  • Payment amount: Fill in the payment amount as per the outstanding amount shown in your Payment Slip, as generated on the IRAS e-Stamping portal.

  • Select card

  • Either Singapore issued credit card or International issued credit card.

  • Payment frequency

  • One time only (recurring payments are not supported) .

  • Payment reference

  • You are also required to enter the 13-digit payment slip number to assist the tax authorities with reconciliation.

  • Promo or referral

  • You may utilize any promos to enjoy a lower fee rate (refer here). Only applicable to one promo per payment setup.

  • Fee summary (refer here).

  • The fees shown will not be finalized if you're using promo code.

Step 6 - Document

Lastly, you are also required to upload an up-to-date copy of the tax statement to help our team with payment verification. Refer here on how to get your property tax statement.

Step 7 - Review

You will be able to review the overall payment request before proceeding with payment checkout. If all good, you may proceed to click on "Create Payment". Note: There will be a pre-authorization charge of SGD0.50 which will be refunded back to your credit card in a few days.

Step 8 - Payments Dashboard

You will be able to find all your scheduled payments reflected on CardUp homepage> specifically under the "Upcoming" tab.
